FestivalFriends (“we”, “us”) is a live-map app that lets you find your crew at a festival. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Questions: contacts@sweetch.dev.

Information we collect

Account — your email address (for sign-in) and a username/display name.
Location — your device’s location while you use the app, and, only if you turn on background sharing, while the app is in the background. Inside camping zones your location is deliberately coarsened (snapped to the camp area) before it leaves your device.
Profile — an optional profile photo or emoji, an avatar color, and the stage you’re near (if any).
Device — a push-notification token so we can notify you (e.g. when a friend joins your stage).
Reports — if you report another user, the message you write and who you reported.

How we use it

Show your location and profile to members of crews you join, on the live map.
Send notifications you’ve opted into.
Operate, secure, and improve the service, and review reports of abuse.

Who can see your data

Your location and profile are visible only to members of crews you join. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use third-party advertising/analytics trackers. We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Realtime Database, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging) as our backend processor; data is stored in the European Union (europe-west1).

Retention & your rights

We keep your data while your account exists. You can edit your profile in the app, and you can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account, which removes your profile, location, and uploaded photo. You may also block other users (Settings → Blocked users). If you are in the EU/EEA you have the right to access, correct, export, and erase your data — contact us above.

Children

FestivalFriends is not directed to children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; we’ll revise the date above when we do.
